Update: 113 S Evaline sold the day after its first open house.
Formerly abandoned and dilapidated, this four-bedroom East End property is eager to unveil its 2017 transformation.
Built in 1915 on the borders of present-day Bloomfield, Friendship, and Garfield, 113 S Evaline Street possesses the exterior style seen so often in the area’s iconic buildings. We immediately recognized the potential in this one, and — despite seemingly insurmountable challenges — we’re bringing it back to life, 21st-century style.
Beyond the kitchen’s matte-black quartz countertops and ebony wood floors, for instance, we also plan to integrate an enormous walk-in pantry and built-in butcher’s block. Also, a glass garage door that opens up to a private backyard. NBD.
Throughout the home’s three stories, four brick fireplaces will feature custom mantels from local woodworker John Malecki. He’s even crafting a barn wood vanity for the room we’ve dubbed an urban paradise: the master bath. Elegant soaking tub, 2-by-2 rainfall shower head, double sink…all accessible via the master bed’s sliding barn door.
