We refer to this Munhall home as our first “mini rehab.” It’s certainly our most modest to date, but not for lack of effort. When we found the place, we knew we wanted to hang on to several original features — coffered dining room ceiling, entry staircase, tough-as-nails exterior — as well as its overall character. Brand new engineered hardwood and carpeting were added to the living and dining rooms and all three bedrooms, respectively; while the kitchen’s upgrades included fresh tiling, white cabinetry, stainless appliances, and granite counters. A few extra perks: built-in shelving in the master bath, creepy attic turned bonus storage loft, and — although we can’t take credit for it — a very spacious, very versatile backyard.
